LOUISVILLE SCHOOL OF SUPERNATURAL MINISTRIES MISSION STATEMENT
In one word, our vision is TRANSFORMATION. We believe that transformation is first and foremost an internal work. When individuals realize their true identity as the incredibly loved sons and daughters of a GOOD Father, Creator and King, God’s Kingdom will naturally emanate from their spirits to transform the world around them. At LouSSM, it is our mission to transform individuals so that they can - with the empowering presence of God - transform those around them.
GOD IS GOOD
Jesus perfectly reveals the nature of God as a good Father. God is good regardless of our circumstances. God is generous, and as we remember and retell what He has done, He’s able and eager to do it again.
SALVATION CREATES JOYFUL IDENTITY
God scandalously loves His “lost” creation and extends grace, empowering believers to love Him and others at a higher standard than the law. Deeply experiencing grace enables us to walk out of shame and into righteousness.
CREATING HEALTHY FAMILY
We are adopted into God’s family, so we intentionally create family and community wherever we go. We think like healthy family members by doing what’s best for the whole environment, submitting to one another, and living selflessly.
GOD IS STILL SPEAKING
Jesus said that His sheep would know His voice and that the Holy Spirit would teach us all things. It’s natural for God to communicate with His family and important for us to listen, learn His language, and test what we are hearing with Scripture.
HIS KINGDOM IS ADVANCING
Every believer is in full-time ministry because God is advancing His Kingdom, not just building His Church. Our work and effort, whether big or small, inside or outside the church, is sacred and valuable to God.
HONOR AFFIRMS VALUE
Honor recognizes and affirms how valuable and powerful other people are because they are made in His image.
SALVATION CREATES JOYFUL IDENTITY
We are new Creations, not merely "sinners saved by grace," but saints who have been given His righteousness. We are adopted as royalty into God's family.
FOCUSED ON HIS PRESENCE
Our first ministry is to God. As a lifestyle, we focus on Him while we minister and attempt to say what God is saying and do what He is doing.
GOD'S WORD TRANSFORMS
When we encounter God in the Word, faith is released into our lives. As we study Scripture, it empowers us to learn who God is, who we are and how He wants us to live.
JESUS EMPOWERS SUPERNATURAL MINISTRY
Jesus promised signs would follow believers and that they would do even greater works than He. Nothing is impossible with God, so no person or situation is beyond His ability to bring complete restoration.
FREE AND RESPONSIBLE
Christ died to set us free from the law of sin, death, fear, and shame. Freedom is very personal, but not self-centered. We have been given freedom to serve one another in love.
HOPE IN A GLORIOUS CHURCH
We believe the Church will successfully fulfill Christ's great commission to make disciples of all nations, which means the nations will be transformed.
GENEROUS LIKE MY FATHER
God is extravagantly generous. The thread of this generosity is woven throughout His creation, covenants, provision, the person of Jesus, and the Kingdom, as He consistently models that it is more blessed to give than to receive. God has blessed us in every way so that we can be generous in every way to advance the Gospel. Our generosity is a response to, and reflection of, Him.
The atmosphere of the school is built around the presence of God. An entire culture is lived out day after day with worship as a primary expression. Passion, purity, power and love of the presence of God are center stage.
Our mission is to develop the revivalist God has created you to be. We expect you to grow in the truth, come to love it, deeply enjoy its value to save and transform you, and ultimately, to radically live it.
We emphasize hands-on training and experience along with academic understanding. This creates a "teach and do" culture where students take risks to stretch their faith and grow in their understanding of God.
Students are placed into Revival Groups that are led by one of our Revival Group Pastors for the year. Revival Groups meet weekly to build community, discuss and impart core values and activate students in personal revival.
For the sake of maximizing individual learning and fostering growth as a community, no more than 6 absences are allowed over the course of the entire 33-week school year.
Assignments are done on the “honor system” which is designed to do just that—build your honor. As such, students will learn to build their integrity one “yes,” one assignment, one check box at a time.
